Happenings

An evaluation of 36 affordable housing projects in Minnesota reported 70% of building materials, which are common across the national building industry, were considered the most polluting and unhealthy.  The good news is alternatives are available.

Raritan Bay Area YMCA breaks ground on NJ’s First Passive House design duplex for lowest income residents

Through funding from Rutgers University’s  NJ Climate Change Resource Center (https://njclimateresourcecenter.rutgers.edu/), PEHKA is supporting Raritan Bay Area YMCA’s new Affordable Passive Housing project in Perth Amboy.  The Project is in its early stages of planning but has a new building construction site and  several partnerships in place through their affiliate YMCA Housing, including Coming Home Middlesex County, and their affiliate and a local architectural firm.
